Some features were around before the newer Deviantart had come into play. Now they made it so non subscribers can't post up artwork thumbs in their journals and center text. I don't get why they removed the center text thing. Kinda stupid on that one. -.=-;

They want to get more revenue, so they gimp the non-subscribers in an effort to coerce them into subscribing
