Description
The Red Eye (going on the name of the file here - I doubt that was meant to be its name, but it would work as a code name), an original Mecha design I did back in the late 90s.Judging from the head design, this was supposed to be some sort of recon/EW mecha. Looking at it with more clarity, there are some odd design decisions here, however; the hip-mounted jets, for example. Likewise, I have no idea what the things on the shoulders are. The insiginia suggests a Soviet/Russian origin.
Update: Turns out this may be fanart of an obscure, RPG-only Robotech design. Who knew.

I see you've drawn heavily on Robotech's "Southern Cross" series. Looks like you've outfitted an EBSIS (Easter Bloc Soviet Independent State) mecha with the gunpod from an Alpha Fighter.

Well there you have it!
Earnestly, I'd forgotten that the EBSIS mechs existed; they're an obscure part of Robotech Lore at the best of times, and looking back on them, the RPG art doesn't even look much like the original designs.
I can only assume then that this was Fanart of that design. Thanks again for clarifying things
