The first trailer for Age Of Extinction was pretty awesome (but then, so was Revenge Of The Fallen, LoL).Β The only thing that made me groan was the whole "Thanks for saving the world, now get out" trope.Β Hopefully it'll have a bit more meat to it than that.Related content

This movie things is overrated and i don't get it, if the autobots always save the world, then WHY humans wants them to leave? O.o

True, shouldn't they want the autobots to stay on Earth and keep defending it? Even if wanting them gone did make any sense(which it doesn't, by the way) and there wasn't any need for the 'bots anymore, it was established in the first movie that Cybertron was pretty much fucked into oblivion... meaning that they literally have nowhere else to go and I highly doubt the Optimus wouldn't bring this up.
We don't need you anymore, get off our planet!

We've already explained to you people that our home planet, Cybertron, is uninhabitable. Off-screen. Multiple times, in fact.

So from the trailers the humans made Transformers or AI of their own that they built them off the cons that died in Chicago but what the government heads that decided to turn on the Autobots didn't know is that the ones in Chicago were the grunts, mid tech weapons, and the low tech ships, and up until then they and the bots were dealing with Cons that were traveling with little to no necessities and mid level grunts to 2 high level cons with some necessities. They also didn't think the cons would bother them after everything not realizing its not the autobots bringing them to earth but Megatron and what they now encounter areΒ high level cons with high tech stuff with high tech ships and they will learn they don't know nothing and that their tech is as usless as scrap because I am sure word would have spread through the con ranks about the sabot rounds and other stuff and found a way around it.

They'd better have a goodΒ justification for this plot. The level of ungratefulness some of those trailer humans emanate is astounding.

True, turning around and pointing a gun at the guys who pretty much risk life and limb to save Earth a thousand times over does make the humans out to be pretty damn ungrateful(which is the same kind of criticism I have about the Marvel universe as a whole).

my plan for this movie is to just stay out and observe from a distance and let the morons go first and i'll wait for the reviews to come out and make my decision. while i enjoyed the first movie the rest were pretty big failsΒ

Yeah... this movie is gonna be stupid. Just based on the fact that people are gonna be all "Yup, you sure did save our butts at least three times, if not more since there were multiple battles between movies. Now we hate you 'cause you're not useful."

It'll make money cos its based one one of the biggest toy franchises in the world with one of the biggest marketing budgets in the world.Β It's a shame so many movie studios don't take the Harry Potter films as an example.Β Made shit loads of money AND were really well made.
