80x50cm.Acrylic on canvas.
Scanned and pieced together.
Comissioned work.
Lots of white paint went into this one. Painted in layers as usual.
An aquaintance of mine wanted a portrait of himself, as Agent 47 from the Hitman video game series.

In other words, it's both Agent 47 and the aquaintance in question ...which explains the hair.

Oh, I didn't catch that part...and the bad thing is I read the description...haha. Looooong day. You should sometime paint Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. That would rule..haha.

it looks ok, but what is really bothersome is the lines that come out of his head and his shoulders. I don't think it serves a purpose other than distracting the eye. Secondly, the porportions look kind of off. His head is really big compared to his shoulder. His right shoulder isn't aligned with his left shoudler unless he's leaning back but it doesn't seem like that because the hands contradict the shoulders.
I dont know, the body just seems to be odd.

The lines are faked leftovers from an underlying rough sketch, with the purpose of making the motif more dynamic. Plus they were present in the original piece I was using as a reference. The painting looked horribly boring without them.
The shoulders aren't aligned because of the perspective and him leaning back.

Whoa, this rocks! Though it's a commisioned peice from Hitman he almost reminds me of a character in a story of mine. LOVE the guns.

I ran cinemas for a brief spell in the late 80's,i would have loved this image out front in the profile section of my coming attractions,a powerfull illustration,a sophisticated image of justice being delivered,or a stone cold hit man?
Either way it grabs you and forces an opinion

Interesting that you gave him hair. I kind of like this design more over the original one. Makes him look more human. I'm not that big of a fan of the series but there is something about metallish guns that are so cool.
