Clouds covered the natural blue sky, as mobians ran into their homes, but most of the Sonic gang were leaving thier homes. They ran around Mobius calling someone. Knuckles The Echidna, sitting by his Master Emerald, peered down to them and watched them running around. He glanced up at the sky to find the X Tornado flying to Angel Island with Sonic standing on one wing of the plane. As they landed, Sonic jumped off from the wing.Sonic: Hey Knuckles!
Knuckles: Tsk, what do you want?
Sonic: We need your help.
Knuckles: For?
Sonic: It's Amy, she's missing. EggMan doesn't have her this time. We need your help finding her.
Knuckles: I have better things to do instead of looking for a fangirl.
Sonic: Knuckles, stop being a jerk and help look!
Knuckles: Alright alright, I'm comin.
Sonic jumped up onto the wing of the X Tornado and went back down to Mobius as Knuckles glided down. When they landed, Tails went off to search high off ground with Rouge. Sonic and Cream went off to their way, Team Chaotix went another way. Knuckles went off by himself. Shadow,Blaze and Silver couldn't help. Shadow was on ARK, and Silver and Blaze went back to the future.
Everyone went off while Vanillla and Cheese stayed just in case Amy returned.
Knuckles went off to the mountains where barely anyone went to. He climbed up the rocks by punching through them using them for him to use to climb up and down. As he got to the top of a mountain, he looked around carefully, to see if he saw anything pink. Nothing. He climbed back down, and the clouds were closing in, and it began to rain. Knuckles still kept looking. He checked by lakeshores, and with other mobians. Nothing. He walked around a bit, and the rain got heavier.
In a second, Knuckles heard something, he heard a cry. He ran to the cry he heard and as he got there, a dam was breaking down in a deep valley. As water seeped through the logs, Knuckles saw a pink hedgehog, it was Amy. Her nightgown was caught on vines (with torns) and she tried to free herself. With the dam breaking, if Amy stayed, she'll drown. Knuckles jumped down for his high location and ran to Amy and tried to pull her free from the vines. He freed her but it was too late for them to run. The dam finally broke and the water came splashing out on them. In the water, Amy couldn't see where she was going. She tried to swim up to the surface but something was dragging her down. Knuckles on the other hand, swam up to the surface.
Knuckles: Amy? AMY! Amy where are you?!
Knuckles looked around and found Amy holding her breath in the water. Knuckles dived in after her, and pulled her out. He used one arm to get to some rocks and he climbed out of the water with Amy in his other arm.
Knuckles: Amy why are you out here? You almost got yourself killed!
Amy: I know......
Knuckles: Why are you out here?
Amy: I dont know, I was sleeping one night, and I heard something calling, and this morning, I found myself here...
Knuckles: Didn't you call for help?
Amy : What do you think I was doing stupid! I was ever since 6 this morning!
Knuckles: Alright alright! Dont have to bite my head off....
As Amy and Knuckles sat there, rocks covered them from the rain, and the water was going wild to the winds. As they sat there, Amy looked at her nightgown which was ripped. She tried to think of a way to stitch it together but it wouldn't work since she had to supplies with her.
Knuckles: So, um, what did you hear that brought you here?
Amy: Huh? Oh. I heard someone calling, I dont know who, but it sounded familiar in a way.
Knuckles: And you were sleep walking and came here right?
Amy: You can put it that way. How long do you think this storm will last?
Knuckles: Dont know.
Amy: Oh! What about everyone else?
Knuckles: They were looking for you too.
Amy: And Sonic?
Knuckles: -sigh- Yes, he was doing the same.
Amy: Ahhh! My Sonic, dont worry Sonic I'll be there soon!
Knuckles: Tsk, fangirls.....
As the rain poured, Amy fell asleep and Knuckles lied awake. He stared at the water as it flowed wildly. Then he looked at Amy, and he blushed. Amy was curled up, and she looked so cute, but what made him burn up completely was when her panties were showing. He turned around quickly, blushing and burning up. After awhile he calmed down and laid down. He fell asleep shortly, and in the morning, the storm stopped.
Knuckles yawned as he was waking up. He felt something on him. It was warm and soft, and when he looked, he blushed again. Amy was sleeping, and her head was on his chest. He didn't move, if he did she'll wake up. But somehow, he liked the feeling of sleeping by her. It was warm and comforting. So he wrapped his arm around her and went back to sleep.
It was close to noon, and Amy finally woke up. She found herself sleeping by Knuckles and she turned red. When she looked at him, she smiled. He was sleeping so soundly and looked adorable sleeping. She giggled, and watched him sleep. After awhile, she laid her head back on his chest and went to sleep again.
When it was noon, both left the valley and went back. They walked since Amy wasn't a fast runner and that Knuckles was still tired. As they walked, they began to talk, and they got to know each other better on the way. They learned about each others families, and stories of what happened to them. And their personalities.
Amy knew Knuckles more better and she smiled. He was truely a sweet loving guy with a kind heart but covers it with his tough side. She never knew what he always thought about or what he did most of his life.
When they were close to home, Amy stopped walking.
Knuckles: -stops- Amy? Whats wrong?
Knuckles walked back to her, and out of nowhere, Amy hugged him. Knuckles blushed, as Amy wrapped her arms around him and held onto him. She didn't plan on hugging him, but she wanted to, something was tellling her to hug him, her heart told her. She heard his heart beating and the warmth of his fur was fantastic. Knuckles smiled and wrapped his arms around Amy returning the hug. His strong arms made Amy feel safe and protected.
When they got back home, the others greeted them and everyone was relieved to see Amy safe and sound. Amy looked over at Knuckles, but he was gone. Without a warning, Sonic came and hugged Amy. To Amy's surprise, she thought Sonic's hug would feel warm and comforting, but it wasn't. As he hugged her, all she thought about was Knuckles.
After everyone greeted Amy, she went back to her home and changed. She sat on her bed and looked out her window. She was able to see Angel Island, and all she thought about was Knuckles and smiled. She brushed her hair and hummed a sweet and loving tune.
On Angel Island, Knuckles sat against the Master Emerald thinking about Amy. He smiled at every word she said to him. He looked up at the sky, more calm than before. As the day went by, Knuckles only thought of Amy. As it turned dark, lights were being turned off. Knuckles got up and glided down to the land.
Once he landed, he went to Amy's house. The lights were off, so he climbed up to her window and peeked in. Amy was asleep, she was wrapped up in her blankets all warm and comfy. Knuckles climbed in and came closer to Amy and kneeled down at her side. He played with her hair, and watched her sleep. And smiled. She slept so peacfully, stroked her hair and kissed her forehead.
Knuckles: Good Night....Rose.
He climbed down from the window and went back to Angel Island. While Amy slept with a smile on her face...
