Wow you're ridiculously talented!
I love the mixture of styles...
...there's somthing about the way you draw,
the fluidity of your forms that really make
your characters come alive. Pop right off the page!

I noticed you reside in Toronto...
...did you attend Sheridan perchance?
anyway keep up the awesome work!!
take care...drive safely

Thanks for the wonderful words! i actually went to George Brown for Graphic Design!

Ballistyc In reply to deadlymike [2009-11-10 15:16:43 +0000 UTC]

hmm that's very interesting....
...it's rare to hear George Brown mentioned
when talking about graduates in the field of art.
...at least for me it is...
How would you rate their Graphic Design program?
I seriously had you pegged as a Sheridan animation graduate.

deadlymike In reply to Ballistyc [2009-11-10 16:41:45 +0000 UTC]

George Brown is aight. I actually benefited from it cuz I learned a whole different field of art other then illustration and I love both print and illustration equally. It also helped with composition and layout. All in all it was a gratifying experience. In terms of the program itself, it's your regular Design program. I would rate it a 7. Although it's hard to gauge schools. I always feel it's the invidual who will make it a bad or good experience.

I loved the book when I was a kid (all be that 30 years ago) and have yet to see the movie! I Promised my nephews I would take them to see it only after they have read the book, as short as it is.

Amazing work, will be watching!

The only thing I could say is that the leaf shadows are kinda of obviously PS bushes...they don't blend like the rest.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the crits! That's funny you noticed that cuz I was having a hard time contemplating whether to keep it smug or draw him more with his mouth open. I guess I chose the best expression.
