Finally got around to checking some of my notifications, not sure how I missed this though. Very nice work!

A tip for you I thought of a while ago;
There is a light entity that is very useful for getting shadows and details in the background. One of them acts as a spotlight, and you can place that at a distance from your build to mimic the light of the sun or use a dim one and disable shadows to mimic light from the sky in the case. These lights are also just very high quality in general and also have the added bonus of (most of them) projecting shadows.

Be warned, though, using a lot of them will bog down your system pretty fast. It's worth it to experiment with leaving some of them off until you're ready to take the picture.

Thanks a bunch, Sav I have Advanced Light entitites and are very useful. I wish SFM had the same cuz it's hard to properly set up lighting there. At least for me.

Ah, okay, I wasn't totally sure because sometimes it looks like you use them and sometimes it doesn't, which could just as easily be a Gmod thing- I know a lot of my images use the advanced lights and you can't even tell they're there.

I don't know much about SFM, I was about to check it out when I went to Blender and I'm not really ready to focus on TWO new programs.

Yes, I use the lights every time but depends on what map I am using. Some maps are damn bright and make it hard to work on Source filmmaker is simple to use. Of course I only do basic stuff, no animations. And since you know Blender you will have no problem with SFM.

Oh man, I don't think I'll EVER do animations. Props to everyone who has that kind of patience, but I just don't have the chops. Either way, you're doing just fine and definitely on a track for constant improvement- Just don't let yourself run out of ideas, which I admit is easier said than done
