My latest pride and joy! It's zombie Winter "alive" and well, ready for some of her own zombie huntin'.I had this one sketched out a couple weeks ago. I never had the opportunity to really sit down and concentrate on it, until I watched The Descent two nights ago and was up until 4:30 am because I was too afraid to sleep *shut up don't laugh!!* But yeah, I took that as the right time to really focus on this baby to get it right. I think it came out rather well, if I do say so myself. I had sooooo much fun with the blood stains and such (I found a new technique!)
Anyhoot, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did drawing it ^^

just to be nit-picky. the blood stain on her left breast looks a lil flat, but again just being nit-picky. over all it is awesome.

She looks like a beserker from Ashwing's comic "the Zombie Hunters". Incase you havn't read her stuff a beserker is more or less a smarter zombie that's eternally pissed off.

Winter here is kind of a "half zombie". She still has her soul, but her body is pretty much wasting away.

Heh, I actually have a character in the works like that. His tale is the untold story of those who did not survive the zombie apocalypse.He generally doesn't have to worry about other zombies, its the humans he needs to fear. But again, cool drawing.

This is just too awesome. Love the way the blood looks... Looks really believable! And she has such a cute smile despite being all beat up and bloodied. XD Great work.

My prefered zombie weapon is a basket hilt broad sword and a one hand drum fed 12 gauge. Of coarse you have a baseball bat and a pistol as "just in case" weapons pistol should be on a thigh holster... But i digress...

Rasberry and Dark Brown prismacolors. I started with the rasberry, then went over it with the dark brown to give it a more "old blood stain" look. I went over the edges with the colorless blender marker to make it look like the blood at seeped into the fabric. I had SO much fun discovering this technique X*D

Not at all actually. I just sifted through my markers and picked the one I thought would work the best. Of course I experimented a little on a scratch paper until it looked right.

I saw this image [link] on ebaums and the idea of giving Winter those eyes came to me (even though, looking closely, Avril still has the whites of her eyes). I think the blackness gives it a better "undead" effect

OH MY GOD. I know Winter is sometimes grumpy but...AHHHH! This goes far far beyond that lol! The fact that she's smiling while covered in blood and stuff is realy scary.
I like the gouges in her arm...I know that sounds weird but they look really cool! And of course the eyes. The blood effects work really well, and if you were gonna do a BG I think a painty-miasma with lots of splatters would look quite cool. Or a dark alleyway/city.

That was not my intention at all. I'm a Dodger fan, so I really wanted to give Winter a dodger cap. And the bat is my weapon of choice for a zombie invasion
