Description

I started working on this image months ago, long before I figured out what style was the best for me, which made finishing this one quite difficult as it is a mix of styles.

I dreamed of this tree very recently which is why I decided to finally finish it after having it on hold since New Year. My drawing program crashed like 3 times today while I was trying to do it, I guess the file ended up being too big haha

I've mentioned this tree before, this is the white oak tree with red leaves that grows on a huge body of water. I dreamed about it several times, usually when I'd fall half asleep during meditation. It seems to be covered in or radiating golden energy, first time I saw it like that, the energy was so strong that I couldn't tell what color the tree was. And the first time I saw this tree without that energy surrounding it was around 7 years ago, if I'm correct and it was a bit smaller back then. I drew it to best of my ability, though I do see some errors which I am planning to fix next time I decide to draw it.
There are at least two more people that I know, one which is a very close friend, that had dreamed of the tree that grows on water and told me they knew it was "me". I was actually surprised the first time my dear friend told me about her dream and sent me photos of trees in water to try and explain her dream. The other one had a bit more ominous dream, as she said that the sky and water were blood red instead of night blue. Whenever I see this tree, it is always night. I have no idea why. At least it is peaceful.

I already drew the white deer twice before, it is a reference to the fact that sometimes I take a form of white deer in those dreams and run over the water, sometimes I am me but with features of that deer, and sometimes I have golden wings that are similar to the golden energy on the tree. And yet again, I was told by several people (both close friends and a bit more distant friends) that I sometimes appear to them as ghostly white deer in their dreams. One dreamed of me as a hooded figure with antlers long before I started dreaming of this tree again and before we were even close as friends, and continued to often see me as a white deer in her dreams. Often during tough times too. She also pointed out that it sometimes had tree branches growing from its body and tangling with it. Those few friends who had similar experience with how they saw me in their dreams often send me images and artwork that strongly reminds them of it.

I actually never had this happen to me before, I heard the stories of people being able to dream of similar/same things as someone else, but I never thought I'd be in on an experience like that as well.
I think that the freakiest thing that happened was when I was working on something and this image of myself bleeding gold from my chest suddenly fell on my mind. I thought nothing much of it truly, I actually found it to be artistically interesting and I wanted to draw it. I kind of kept that thought to myself until I received a message, like two days later, from the same friend who dreamed of my tree and she told me she had a dream in which I was bleeding gold from my chest and she saw my heart was made of gold too.

Yes, I will draw that eventually too.

I am planning to make some follow-up drawings for this as it does have a deep personal meaning to me.
