Description WARNING: MILD SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED HALO 4's CAMPAIGN.

A gift for my friend, who loves Halo. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the games (I loved Halo 1) but I've always loved the technology and Halo 4 has been the first game in the franchise to really craft the Halo-universe in the light I always thought it should have been in: a dark and gritty tale of war and the ever-elusive question of what it means to be human. It is a glorious tale and it makes me sad that the new one is doomed to be an Xbox One exclusive and not ported to 360.

But I digress. The idea for this project came about when I was pondering what the story for the next game could be, and it occurred to me to write one about how after Cortana's "death" at the end of Halo 4, he goes off in search of her, unable to accept the fact that his companion is gone. His defection from the UNSC leads them to send out a specialized Spartan-4 unit to track down Master Chief and bring him home. In this page, the leader of the unit, Celeste (a character created specifically for this project), confronts Master Chief in a Forerunner facility.

Hope everyone, both Halo and non-Halo fans alike, enjoy this! I had a blast making it.

Who knows, maybe I'll draw out the epic fight between these two.

Cheif is like somewhere above 8ft after the libraian (Cant spell) forerunner magick'd him.  Spirit and Prowess? Cheifs been in that fight since 15. He's 42. Spartan-IV Tops 3 years. They LOSE.

Victory in combat depends less on augmentation and more on spirit and prowess. So, I think that fight can go either way.

not really chief win simply because he is the better soldier he would win

Inactive for 4 years, burdened by loss and pain along with the fact that he now has to fight soldiers he once stood with? Not so sure. Guilt can do a lot to a person, especially since he wouldn't want to kill a fellow Spartan. I think it would be far less a one-sided fight and therefore be much more interesting to see unfold.

There is a reason Sara didn't arrest chief when ordered too, he is more then capable of taking her down in 2 to 3 moves. Also distress in loss and/or guilt isn't a factor. Spartan IV's are augmented ODSTs, trained to fight and survive. Chief is a SPARTAN, grown to fight and survive. That was always the main difference between the Spartan IIs and the rest. Its why Halsey didn't like any of the other Spartans, because they don't think like a true spartan.
