Serendipity: So after the fallen were banished to hell, God turned on those who wouldn't fight, and Azrael was sent down with the demons.
[mockingly]
Serendipity: Something he considers a GRAVE injustice!
Azrael: Ah, come on! Don't tell me you NEVER questioned the judgement, Serendipity.
Serendipity: No. It never bothered me. So you were an artist! Big deal! Elvis was an artist. But that didn't stop him from joining the service in time of war. And that's why he's The King, and you're a schmuck."

Dogma (1999) ( [link] )

This is my Homage to Kevin Smith, my favorite director. Dogma is one on my favorite movies also... being a faithful catholic myself, I don't really see what the big controversy about it was all about, its just a movie about the great grand niece of Jesus Christ who is called upon by the Voice of God to stop two renegade angels from entering a New Jersey church and thus negating all existence, with the help of Rufus, the 13th Apostle and the 2 of the greatest pot smoking, fouled mouth (well one of them anyway), prophets: Jay and Silent Bob!!!!!! I don’t see any harm in that! There is a rubber shit demon in this movie… Snooch to the Mothafuckin’ Nooch…

So this one started out as just a sketch of Silent Bob (Kevin Smith), which I drew from a still shot from Dogma, it’s the moment he kills Azrael (Jason Lee) with a Holy golf club. But it looked kind of empty so I added Jay (Jason Mewes) to his left. Then I just though about making a kind of Dogma poster with all my favorite characters from the movie, so I added Azrael (Jason Lee) to Kevin Smith’s right. Bartleby and Loki (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, wings and all) in the middle, and Chris Rock as Rufus and the every sexy Salma Hayek as Serendipity. The silhouette of the angle at the top, under the Dogma logo is non other than Alan Rickman (this is one of those movies that you don’t feel like dropping a damn aircraft carrier on his big toe). The background colouring is inspired by the actual Dogma poster. I’m really happy with the out come of this one and I’m planning in doing some more Kevin Smith/Jay and Silent Bob related works, so check in from time to time.
