First shot at attempting some kind of super detailed scene. I knew I wanted to do this particukar idea for a while, and I realized that it was gonna have to be a very busy scene, which is something I struggle with, as perspective and realism are haaarrrd. Still, it began with very rough sketchwork (which I ended up leaving most of it in, to give some edge), and mapping out the scene. I don't usually like to pat myself on the back (it is not a very humble trait for artists, I think), but I am proud of the results gained from trying something different. The key to growth is always try new things after all!

As for the pic itself, you should be able to guess our more realistically portrayed hero, and if not, you should bone up on your vidya games! Still, it seems very irresponsible not to be wearing any safety belts or gear in a space battle, don't ya think?
