Millions of years ago, back when he was still loyal to the Scarlet King, Zalgo had attacked the World of Pokemon, and overwhelmed its protectors, and even Arceus with little trouble. His power had convinced the Unown King to betray Arceus and align himself with the Scarlet King, eating all of the humans on the planet. The dire circumstances led Arceus to seal every single pokemon into Burst Hearts, and fire them across the universe to ensure their survival.
