Personally I don't like the DAZ DOF very much. I find the background blur it creates simply to grainy. Sure you can overcome that by rendering the image two or three times the size you want it and then resize (also gets you rid of most fireflies should you get any) but it tends to increases render time to an absurd amount.
Good tutorial though and you got a nice and clear to understand voice, always a bonus particularly to people like me who are not native english speakers.

More artists should learn how to use DOF, my most beloved effect. Hope this helps a few to discover how it works.

Interesting !!!!!!!!!!!! You may also use the depth layer from DAZ and make depth of field in Photoshop using the DAZ depth layer

That's interesting too. I only tend to do DOF in photoshop though if I am rendering out just a character to add into a composite. I might have to look into it and play a bit.
