Here's some basics and credits because I couldn't fucking work out the damn text function in FinalCut Pro

This is Cut-out animation done on an oxberry camera with i think 16mm film?

Took me about 10 hours to do this shoot, and I meant to do more, but there just wasn't time with the limited resources available to our class (one of the two fixed oxberry's died in the ass just before final project filming commenced).

Not much in terms of concepts, just wanted to do some cool footage, I like cut-out as a technique, playing with card-paper models of my original species is heaps fun

It's a Dabobay chasing a Nuteye, their natural and main prey.
I had a total of two dabobay full models, one big for closeups and one small, and one half and angled one for that special prey stalking shot. The Nuteye also had two full body models, one big one small.
Each animal had an overhead shot model too, but i abandoned the length of that when it became too fiddly and i just didn't have time for it. The models for that shot were insanely small with so many articulated parts it became impractical for time constraints.

Black card, white tracing paper, connector pens for colours (lol), BluTac for joints (goddamn miracle stuff), Oxberry camera, 16mm film, lightbox and coffee.
