OK SO MATURE FILTER EVEN IN LACK OF TRUE BADNESS.
These are my personal opinion anatomical specs for Transformers Interfacing Equipment.
It's all rather bland, and most of this is to do with Spike structures and the outside of ports rather than the inner workings as well.
These are NON-STICKY-VERSE designs, THEY WORK ON THE PRINCIPLE OF ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE EXCHANGE OVERLOAD, but can be modified for sticky.
They are also G1 and TF:A verse compatible, but not so much BayVerse. Holds that they're fine for stuff similar to G1 or TF:A
There will be more in the form of inner valve schematics, but i have to work them out first, cause i'm still not wholly decided on my opinions for the anatomy make-up.
Anywho, these apply to all my smut stories (yea you finally have a proper idea of what i'm talking about) and anyone can use them as reference if they wish.

I believe this is the first time I have see a diagram of how a interface cable works and already my brain is going "Oh I see!" and "MmmHmm" but then my smut muse is thinking about all the writing I've done and how it wishes I had found this much sooner. You're very welcome, thankyou! I actually don't USE this setup in ANY of my writing now XD but it remains a nice alternative idea for people who prefer a more mechanical and less organic interface setup. It still exists in one of my ongoing fics just because I started the fic so long ago I can't change it at this point, but yeah it's mostly just an idea people can use if they don't like direct organic translations.
Anyway I just find making up sci-fi mechanical shit fun, despite not being an electrician or engineer (therefore a lot of it is pure bullshit but like it's transformers fucking so no one really cares XD). I should really do one or two more like this to cover other interface set-up ideas I've used in fics.

I assure you it took me a fair while to get the hang of drawing robots XD I think having Bayverse as my foundation helped in the sense of it forcing me to reference actual car parts and engines to try and draw the stupid-complex bots. Also practicing basic box and perspective and geometric stuff helps. Also doing form sketches of the most basic kind under complex bots really helps, cause once you have the basic framework you can 'dress' it with boxy armor.
But yeah being a metallurgist helped in the beginning because being a jeweller meant I was already practicing technical drawing for design purposes. Plus it meant I had an idea of the physical properties of metal and how it acts under certain circumstances, so that's super useful when writing giant robots lol.
But yeah generally with robo-smut it depends on the outcome I want as to how I write it. If I want something that makes 'sense' from a sci-fi perspective, I go with the plugs and feedback and shit. But if I actually want porn featuring robots, I end up going with the metal dicks that shoot robo spooge because I'm a filthy human who likes sticky and humanoid analogies XD But both are valid and fun as far as I'm concerned.

Only if they happen to have a long enough spike. I believe some of that goes on in the earlier chapters of one of my fics. If there is a kinky use for interface equipment, chances are I've covered it in that fic. I like to explore options. c:<
