Description
I've been obsessed with solar system and universal size comparison charts and videos lately and I had this massive urge to try and create my own scaled solar system diagram. I looked up all the sizes of these celestial bodies and tried to scale them as accurately as I can. The distance between each bodies isn't to scale nor was intended to be, it's just a comparison of size. For this scale comparison, I used 0.01 pixel = 1 kilometer (KM)
Mercury: 4,879 KM Diameter
Venus: 12,104 KM Diameter
Earth: 12,742 KM Diameter
Moon: 3,474 KM Diameter
Mars: 6,779 KM Diameter
Jupiter: 139,822 KM Diameter
Saturn: 116,464 KM Diameter
(ZOOM IN TO VIEW SATURN'S RING)
Saturn's Ring: 282,00 KM Wide & 1 KM THICK (Scientifically the highest estimated thickness)
NOTE: On the diagram, Saturn's ring isn't completely the exact scale, as Adobe Animate CC could not shrink any object lower than 1.00 pixel. So the ring in the diagram is 1 pixel = 100 KM, which isn't completely accurate (1 KM = 0.01 pixel), but I guess it's close enough. Also, if it was 100% accurate, it'd probably look like it was invisible cause of its short size compared to its planet.
Uranus: 50,724 KM Diameter
Neptune: 49,244 KM Diameter
Pluto: 2,374 KM Diameter
Sun: 1,391,400 KM Diameter
NOTE: The sun was SO HUGE that it needed about 9 times the current canvas size to completely view its image.
