A found journel entry explaining and showing the creature. "The Maw"

- "This creature is completely blind and it’s body protrudes out from the ceiling from a “maw”- like gap hence the name. Though blind, they have a keen sensory system for hunting. Their looong sleek black hair trails on the ground, around the spot they hang. Said hair is used as triggers from the ground to tell position of possible prey. After tests, I’ve noticed they attack when something touches their hair or them. It doesn’t matter how much noise you make (though it does get their attention) or how close you get to them. They will simply turn to you but not attack. However when they do attack- your screwed. Using their blades at the end of its wrists, they slash and stab its target till it’s subdued, and then pull them into the Maw. Once done feasting, they will drop any non-organic materials left then resume hunting. Gunshots only seem to piss it off, making it thrash around, swinging wildly. After some attempts, blur weaponry isn’t enough to damage this thing. Though damaging its hair with a blade seems to force it to retreat into its “maw”. "
