The idea behind this, is a slightly older and more mature Nero. With the collapse of the Holy Order, Nero left Fortuna and persued a career in devil hunting, one that was slow to get off the ground. Eventually, Nero found work as an independent Hunter and became well known as a man who could be relied on to get the job done quickly and cleanly. Although his reputation as an ex-Holy Knight have given clients pause before hiring him.

Tracking an especially elusive and powerful daemon, Nero sought out Dante at his office for some assistance. Taking an instant interest in the case after looking at some blurry photos, Dante chose to travel with Nero to find this daemon.
