For those who missed the stream. This is the result.Everything is done in blender [link]
Needs some polishing though. And I still need the Pinkiebounce
Edit: now with shadow and polished leg movements in the run cycle. Also I made it longer from 8 frames like in the show to 12 frames.

Animating isn't really hard, you move the armature and press a button to save the keyframe. Just set up a new action. There are lots of tutorials on youtube, or you can go to my livestream channel and watch the latest recording which will answer your second question. Animating itself doesn't take too long it's the rig that can be tricky especially with the pones proportions but there are a lot of tutorials on rigging as well, so you can easily learn it (cause I had/have no idea what I was doing)
