Description
For those who missed the stream. This is the result.Everything is done in blender [link]
Needs some polishing though. And I still need the Pinkiebounce
Edit: now with shadow and polished leg movements in the run cycle. Also I made it longer from 8 frames like in the show to 12 frames.

Ah! much better! Now it doesn't look like pinkie's leg is locking into place every last frame.

I'm still not sure what you mean about the leg locking, I didn't really change anything on pink pone Her legs also don't quite align to the floor since I tilted her forward a bit. I think it looks more royal like that^^

Holy, exquisitally stunning! Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Suprise all look incredible and the animation is flawless! All of the colors, manes, bodies, expressions, and other details are also spectacular! Fantastic work!

Oh, the awesomeness of this is off the charts. If I wasn't so busy this holiday and making 2D, I'd try this very same thing just to see if I can. Oh well, I eagerly look forward to more of your work, and maybe if you could do a full animation with dialogue or some action?

I'm sure you can learn it pretty quickly.I might do something more elaborated in the future, but they don't have proper mouth movements yet, apart from just opening and closing

Oh, I know I can learn it quickly. I've done a few minor things already, but I always got stuck on the materials and textures. I'm slowly getting there, though, but the thing is: I have something else lined up. And that something isn't in 3D. I put up a vector that isn't a vector in my scrapbook, and while I don't want to spoil it, suffice to say that little WiP will become part of the final product. I swear, the title is correct: it's not a vector art.
And yeah, mouth movements would be needed for dialogue. Remember, you don't need to make the shapekeys on the original mesh. If your vertex count is the same for all your models (implying you modelled the hair and tail as separate objects, or you just separate them for the occasion), you can duplicate a base mesh, add a facial key, use the corrective shapekey add-on to 'join as shapes' (it's on the arrow next to the shapekey panel), and if need be you can limit the influence of this key to the lips, so it does the same thing for different faces and doesn't warp a different (say: stallion) nose. I think that might save some time?
Or you can just do them all for the different characters, make the expressions for all of them a little unique. Remember you can make those move with custom bones by adding drivers, and I'm pretty sure the mouth movements only require four shapekeys or so. Might be wrong. At any rate, eagerly anticipate your next work.

The eyes, mouth, teeth and wings are operated with shape keys actually
I can turn pink pone into Flutters with a shape key, basically

To be honest, Surprise's gait might need to be slowed down a little... and something about how the legs are going forward seems off.
But other than that, these are cute!
