When I drew this scenes it was on behalf of a fanfic, which now I can't remember much.

Oh well in photosop you can use many kind of transparencies or shades? Whatever, the thing is that I applied a mood where the brush paint in a glowy way. You choose a color, then paint and if you paint again in the same place the color seems more illuminated. All you have to do is passing the brush until the glowing amount you think is right is done. At least that's my method. But you have to care the shadows and how the light reflects on things. You can see some blue in Katara and Zuko's face as an effect of the reflection of light, so I think there are many details...

I'm in Mexico. The place is set in the fanfic I got the inspiration to draw this.
I meant with the same color... Mmm for example, that water was with one single shade of blue, the effect applied once and once again makes it change. At the end I just applied a bit of white to give a little more light...
