Maybe he could be better in another way and find a way to peace talk with Radiance. Who knows, maybe the army of babies would make her not want to fight. I mean who would wanna destroy these little cuties anyway?

Actually, I have a thought. We all operate under the assumption the Pale King began making vessels to seal the Radiance right as she began spreading her infection. However...is it not possible, that the Pale King's foresight made them begin preparing to seal her in advance? After all, to make all those vessels and then raise them to proper adulthood, would take much time. Too much time for an infection that is spreading. But only if the infection was actually spreading as they were making the Hollow Knight. So, perhaps...the Radiance never even had the chance to speak to anyone before being sealed outright into the Hollow Knight.

You know, your idea is very interesting!
I think it is not technically possible to fight a "dream God" with a normal army - also if made of Vessels - but the PK could still try to let THK/Little Ghost or another one of his children fight her in the Pantheons, if he finds the way to get the dream nail...
But however, in any case I think it could be still possible for Hornet to born. Maybe the PK changes his mind after having the dalliance with the Spider Queen, or maybe Hornet came out because of a different bargain between the two Kingdoms. Who knows?
