Description 100 theme challenge: #55 ~ waiting
It's a crawl toward the finish, but hey! better than a poke in the nose.

And now I really have to get busy with the other chores. I really should have been doing something else...

mountains again.
sooooo....do you live in this landscape? I love all your mountains, they're a dream...we don't really have any mountains where I live, only hills lots of trees and hills, but that's about all. I want to live somewhere with mountains for a while someday.

Yes, I live with mountains. Perhaps not this wonderful; but they're mountains all the same. Of course, now I can't imagine living without them, but see, that's me.

Mhmm. Someday I'm totally going to live in mountains for a while... I can't get over how gorgeous they are...

Shouldn't one always need to be doing something else? I need to get my arse working on the 100 theme challenge as well.... augh.

Amazing job with the mountains! They're beautiful

Yeah, well...
Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Thanks!

Hmm, it's probably a good thing I'm not about to peek over your shoulder. The question of "draw/paint" or "chores" rarely has an unpredictable answer from me. Anyway, your mountains are always amazing, but what strikes me in this one is the wind in and around the mountains. I mean, I can really see it...!

Thanks. I love my mountains, of course. Utah's got some gorgeous mt.s too. But I haven't had a chance to get acquainted with them.

It does!! I'm gonna miss them... Maybe next time you get down here, you could go to...shoot, I just blanked on the name. Park City is a place to go though. Skiers go there.

Where did you say you were moving to? I dunno that I'll get down that way again for a really long time...but I'll keep that in mind. In fact I think someone actually took us up there once...I'm not sure. Where abouts did Rob Redford have his ranch? That's where we got taken.

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-02-02 16:54:17 +0000 UTC]

Eugene, Oregon, I think. It's not totally concrete yet... I thought that ranch was set in Wyoming and filmed in Canada. Am I thinking of something else?

Oo, the Willamette valley area...Corvallis Oregon is where I moved into my first apt. with another gal, the one who left for home shortly afterward...It's a gorgeous place. They have four distinct seasons, and they're not horrible in either directtion. I hope you like it there, too.
Aw...who cares where Redford lives...He's not my fave actor anyway.

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-02-08 01:15:41 +0000 UTC]

Ooh. Most of the time I've spent in Oregon has been much farther north, so I'm looking forward to seeing this part of it. Hooray for distinct seasons!

Maybe he cares, but I doubt it.

Well, I whooped especially loud, because we've only got two here...winter and summer...oh, and maybe fall...but it varies...sometimes we have fall and summer...

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-02-09 18:19:32 +0000 UTC]

Sounds like Phoenix, in a way. We nicknamed it Hell because it was either melting hot or our idea of freezing.

DeborahLewis In reply to Kid-Apocalypse [2009-02-11 17:09:14 +0000 UTC]

I believe it! We've had some pretty hot summers here, which is unusual...temps in the mid to high 90's. Otherwise, it's pretty moderate, except for this past winter, which is one of the snowiest that I can remember in a long time. We're STILL snowing...

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-02-12 01:21:44 +0000 UTC]

It's still snowing here as well... Last year it went well into April. Unfortunately for me, I can't complain about the heat here ever because I remember 120F summer days in Phoenix.

DeborahLewis In reply to Kid-Apocalypse [2009-02-13 01:18:45 +0000 UTC]

120...? That's "Baked Alaska" temp... but surely, it gets hot in Utah, as well...

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-02-26 23:19:25 +0000 UTC]

There are jacuzzis that don't get that hot. It gets to about...er, I think in the 90's in Utah, if I remember the summers.

DeborahLewis In reply to Kid-Apocalypse [2009-03-01 03:57:52 +0000 UTC]

That's too hot for me...I really am not a summer person.

I don't think I am anymore either... But I don't think I'll miss the snow too much.

Well, Oregon does get snow...I dunno about where you're going...may the weather be "just right"

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-03-05 14:08:09 +0000 UTC]

Depends on the city/town, but yeah... I keep hearing that Eugene is warmer and drier. Personally, I like wet weather and a bit of cold. A bit, mind.

DeborahLewis In reply to Kid-Apocalypse [2009-03-07 16:58:11 +0000 UTC]

Only drove through Eugene, so cain't answer that 'un for yez...just so long as it's not like our current weather...we're still snowing.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-03-10 21:55:31 +0000 UTC]

Had that light, drifty, sort of cinema-esque snow yesterday, so it didn't stick, but it's still way too cold to be alive. I am with you. (possibly at about the same level, since it's colder for you, but I am a wuss and you are tough. )

DeborahLewis In reply to Kid-Apocalypse [2009-03-11 16:56:45 +0000 UTC]

And can you believe the flakes are still spiralling downward? I've never seen such a winter, in such a long time. But the air is clean.

Naw, just incredibley stubborn. Ask anyone who really knows me. (And don't give me that "wussy" stuff, I know better! Prolly "subdued" is more to tone. But you know what they say about still waters. )

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-03-12 02:02:16 +0000 UTC]

Oh dear... I'm just hoping that the summer is a mild one. I prefer rain to snow, at least rain leaves when it leaves! Good point, it does make for clean air...but it is cold air too.

X3 Stubborn is usually good. (Alright you win, we'll say my blue fingers are the wimps then. )

DeborahLewis In reply to Kid-Apocalypse [2009-03-13 17:50:36 +0000 UTC]

Well I understand Eugene can get warmish, but compared to Utah's summers, it should be pretty tame.

Oo, poor the Tally. Blue figners can hurt, sometimes...when myne get that way, they get sensitive.

Kid-Apocalypse In reply to DeborahLewis [2009-07-03 05:18:18 +0000 UTC]

Probably. I will miss the chaos of the Utah weather...

Aren't they a pain? It's scary when they can't move well, almost worse than hurting.

Wow, very nice. They're right. Your mountains are amazing. The dragon is very well done as well. The whole scene. . .looks cold. lol You can almost feel the cold wind and the dragon just about ready to take off. Or perhaps just setting down.

Well, allow me to put it this way...didja ever feel like your art was 100% the way you wanted it to be? I'm not sure I'll ever be 100% happy with mine. But again, that's just me.
But thanks again, all the same.

I am exactly the same way...we will NEVER be satisfied with our own work. It is our perfectionist nature when it comes to our arts. We just cannot help it.
