They're all over in the woods, in upstate New York. My sister is actually allergic to them. Some types are known to shoot needle-like spines out of them, and have some sort of chemical released. :0

Of all the ones with spines on them I know, they can't shoot them. I think that's a stereotype. But there are a few that have either a chemical or poison.
