Future Wicked Witch of the West.I wasn't even going to TRY realism. I stopped before I could embarrass myself. So instead, I just did a quick doodle while listening to Wicked music, didn't really focus on it (again, it's just a doodle ^_^; ) Wasn't quite sure if I wanted her hair in a bun or down, but my hand decided it wanted it up.
I know it's not accurate AT ALL. I know she wasn't supposed to be pretty (according to the book) but I didn't want to try to draw from an exact photo because I would just end up disappointing myself..

Well, the book doesn't really say she's hideous either. For example, she's beautiful the evening she's trying Galinda's hat and Fiyero found her beautiful.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of the Wicked series (can't wait for the third book!) and I've always imaged Elphaba as beautiful (much like your picture) but green - which people deem as "not beautiful". I remember one part in the book when she is in bed with Fiyero that she realizes she IS beautiful.

I think it is very good and I like Elphaba being portrayed as beautiful; beauty wasn't her problem but her skin was her problem. I like her hair up because it is much more in character. Her eyelashes are beauitful and this is just...perfect. The angle is just so...Elphaba. The hat fits her so well and its drawn nicely too. I also like her mouth wiht the lipstick and the shape since lotsof people tend to give her a stick mouth. I adore this!

This is beautiful! I like how you made her pretty because she really wasnt ugly, that wasnt her problem, but she was green. Anyways, this is so beautiful and I absolutely love the hair and how its a little curly. I also love the neck of the dress, that's great. Great job!!

I love this musical. And the book says she wasn't pretty, yes, but the musical implied that she was just odd, not ugly. I think it's beautiful.
