Description
This was the first place piece for the Botcon 06. This is my second in my "What if " series. To color, I used colored pencils, markers, and oil paint. The Dinobots' joining into one giant robot has no doubt been in most of our wildest wet dreams

Hello! I know what you mean i have even dune my Own version of what they maight look like if they did Metamorph as i like to say into one Hugh Transformer and what he will do to the Decepticons all of there Giant once... Allthouw they are not the only Dinobots i have my Own Dinobots... Girls!

I remember reading that one particularly large dinosaur was jokingly named that...might be appropriate for this guy too.

I like the interesting names but firstly the artwork is really good and the use of colouring pencils is very effectively done.
The design of gestalt Dinobots is excellent and same goes for the perspectives.
I agree with StriderSyd. I suggest the gestalt name should be something that drives away from the member name's. When saying the current gestalts names they all sound natural and unique.

I think that the "Dinorex" and "Kinglock" names are too individual to Grimlock....this is a combined TEAM form after all.
"Dinotron" seems to me to be the most appropriate.
All other Gestalts names do not share any part of their
individual name with the character names of any of their....individual parts.
I've seen several different Dinobot Gestalts by several arists (all here on DA), many of them named the combined dinoteam: "Dinoking", and it seems to be the most common name given to this form.
Although this name probably came about for no other reason than as a nod to the "Predaking" name, it also seems to be too individual to Grimlock.
(Tyrannosaurusrex = "tyrant lizard king" in Latin...."rex" = "king" in Latin).
I still think it's a cool name.
Except for Devastator, all Gestalt teams formed around (usually the largest) team leader.
I really don't think this would work with the Dinobots.
It seems (to me) that they would form around Sludge as the main body, with Grimlock and Slag as the leg foundation (just try knocking these 2 guys down), and with Swoop and Snarl as the arms.

It will be cool if they can combined. As far I know, they are the only sub faction with five members that do not combine into a robot. Here is another good name for their combined form, DinoRex. This is based on what Grimlock, the original Grimlock, said in the movie that he is king, not a kisser and Rex is latin for King.

I always wanted the dinobots to form a giant robot like the combiners. It would have been so cool, and the would have been unstoppable as a single warrior. But what the name would be , cuz Computron was really dumb. Maybe Annihilus or Annihilator, or something.

haha, yes what would his name be? Dinotron was already taken. I almost went insane trying to name him, so I ended up never coming up with one. I am quite surprised no TF has been named Annihilator yet
