Not really happy with my ability to draw this character, but I'm reasonably happy with the anatomy and perspective. Given how much I struggle with those, I count it a victory.My character of the month entry for tails at .

He looks pretty good! I just chalked the short legs up to perspective, and the ears are the only things that look a bit... "off" to me. Otherwise, nice work!

You have trouble drawing him? Could've fooled me- he looks great! Only small problem is his legs, which appear extremely short, but I might be confusing myself with my art (which tends to have the longest legs in fanfiction or something to that effect)...

Thanks. I looked at some official art of him, which portrayed his legs as insanely short, and then I had his legs bent, which shortened them further... It's confusing. ;.;

That makes sense. I always forget that his shoes cover his ankles and that his socks extend upward from there for at least a good third of his shin in the original spritework...

So, Art Academy is designed to replicate the impasto effect you get with real paints. It does it very badly. Sometimes the exact same stroke in the exact same pressure and direction will create very different visual distortions... and what seems to set the "seed" for it is your save sessions.
It may be a "feature," but it sure is annoying. And I'm trying to exploit it for all it's worth.
