Poking around deviantART, I found some fanart of RHJunior's "Tales of the Questor" (including my own: deckardcanine.deviantart.com/a… ) but none at all for his sequel webcomic, "Quentyn Quinn, Space Ranger," featuring the pseudo-medieval hero's descendant of the same name. Apart from one tired arc early on, it's rather good at deconstructing a lot of sci-fi, so I'm giving it more love.

After watching Guardians of the Galaxy, it wasn't hard to form a connection. Both heroes are anthropomorphic raccoons about the size of regular raccoons who travel in space and have a way with guns, but while Quentyn consistently upholds the law, Rocket keeps committing theft and other crimes. I'd expect this upshot in such an encounter, as Rocket has gone to jail many times and Quentyn is almost annoyingly adept at his job. (He might not point his gun at a cuffed target, even if anticipating resistance at any moment, but I didn't know what else to do with his hand. This way, at least there's little ambiguity about the scenario.)

Google Images shows many, often subtly different appearances for Rocket. I chose a mishmash, which admittedly came out a little odd. The contrast between the two isn't a problem; they're not supposed to be the same species exactly. I considered having Quentyn dress as Rocket, in keeping with my many "cosplay" drawings, but (1) someone might mistake Quentyn for his ancestor, (2) it seems out of character, and (3) this will probably get more attention.
