You know I'm going to go ahead and make this up BECAUSE THESE CHARACTERS ARE TOO GOOD TO DIE!
So Sinbad, Milo, and Jim were caught and running away from the T-Rex that was trying to eat them, and before they knew it, they ran into a volcanic pit with nowhere to go.
So their had dilemmas of fate either to get eaten by the T-rex, or to die in the lava a.k.a the center of the Earth. They chose lava, therefore they took a leap of fate. Similar to when Mowgli and Shanti took a leap of faith over the chasm of lava instead of suffering the wrath of Shere Khan. But anyways they witness the hot lava zooming in front of their eyes waiting to put them out of their misery. Coincidentally, a large male pterodactyl just flys out of nowhere, Milo is the last to fall so he first grabbed hold on the leg, Jim's leg as Jim and Sinbad grab hold of each other. Jim's foot was one inch from the lava On the pterodactyl's way to the ocean, the three let go and land on shore. They celebrate in relief after their coincidental situation, and they take the routes back home and tell their testimony.
