Description
Part of my alternate heads series. Painted in acrylicsThis is a reflection of part of my personal life, I admired a person who turned out to be not as awesome as I was led to believe. The sunflower was drawn to the false light when there was no sun in the sky.

I adore the underlying concept, so often are we fooled into looking for sustenance and satisfaction where little or none can actually be found...something so bleak and unnatural about this, which just adds to the concept

Before reading the commentary (which is most appreciated, as too often things do not make sense AND there is no subjective input...) I thought it works both ways for the Male-Female story: men are drawn to beautiful flowers (which end up skin deep, with little unique scent or substance), while women -- to apparently brainy men (with apparently too often being all there is to the posturing, etc.) Good work!!!

Unfortunety many people fall victim to what you experienced, myself included. I find that skepticism and confidence can help with avoiding those types of relationships.
