Previous: [link]The random number generator strikes again
Just in case anyone cares to know:
Each season (every two months) I go through all of the horses and do the RNG for each one (#'s 1-30) that determines whether they are healthy or not. (I use this system when filling out the vet check) If one horse lands on 13, the unlucky number, fate decides that it's time for that horse to go. But just as conformation, after 13 is picked, I pick a random number again and if it's even, the horse stays alive but if it's odd, you know what happens
And 2 seasons in a row ? Come on RNG, have a heart
I also decided to have a heart felt story because he definitely deserved it
R.I.P Allegro
WARNING: Really sad story

Throughout his last months at ISI, the team made sure to take care of him as much as possible. He was fed treats everyday, brushed thoroughly, and loved until he was too dangerous to get close to. Sandra wanted to make sure he was infected before putting him down, just to be sure. She didn't want to make a mistake...
Allegro enjoyed his last few months at home. He was pampered like no other horse, out in the pasture constantly, enjoying the outdoors. He was often seen running around, just because he could. The staff saw signs immediately when they began to appear. Because of his lovable personality, it stood out when he acted up. But he never bit someone, he was careful of that. He knew that something was going wrong, he could feel it. He made sure to keep a safe distance if he felt the tendency to do anything.
His last day was just like any other at the barn, he ate in the early morning and then was turned out in the pasture. He frolicked about during the first thirty minutes of his time outside. He then dropped his head to graze for a while, soaking up the Florida sun. But towards the end of the day, the staff noticed that his outbursts multiplied. Sandra called the vet, seeing as it was time and that he shouldn't have to suffer the serious stages of the disease.
The vet came out to the stable as quick as he could. He agreed that he should be put down so he took out his supplies. He managed to tranquilize him and got him into the barn. They lay the big stallion down in his stall, making sure he was comfortable. Since the staff realized that he was no longer dangerous under a tranquilizer, they all sat around him, stroking his fur, telling him what a good boy he was. Sandra, through tears, gave the vet the OK and Allegro was put to rest.

It's a shame: one of the horses here at Whisper Gate is slowly dying from a cancer. He's still happy and energetic and all; he won't be put down until he falls into a more severe state. It's a shame that he only has so much time left, though. He has been with us here for 15 years and he's the cutest Quarter Horse ever ;(
