Description
The Philosophy building at Melbourne University. Apparently it was built in 1853, so it's probably one of the first buildings in all of Melbourne. Very prestigious indeed.Related content

I dissagree with Phroneo...I like the fact that the ground is overexposed.
It seems more real, if it weren't, I would like this shot as much.

Again, Nice location and perspective. The fact that I am into philosophy makes this even more appealing. My crit here is that the ground is overexposed. I know that increasing the shutter speed would make the rest of the image too dark though so its not such a bad thing. Maybe if the picture was taken at a different time of day or you could take two pictures with varying shutter speeds and blend them together.
Keep up the good work!

Yeah, it sucks I can't adjust the shutter speed, or the aperture on my camera, it's only a low end compact. I really need that SLR!

You don't need an SLR. My camera, isnt an SLR though still has a big lense. I can adjust aperture, shutter speed etc., you could also play with the image in Photoshop, select the bottom and feather it then adjust the levels..
