Description The local flock of wild turkeys made their rounds again. This time I got more than just a picture of their tracks.
This is a rather large group, i counted just over 30 hens.

TURKEYS!  

I remember when I moved to New Jersey I saw live, wild turkeys for the very first time. We were heading to my ex's parents house for Christmas dinner and there was a flock of them in the street. We sat there for about 15 minutes waiting for them to move LOL What I remember the most was thinking, "Geez, those are some BIG birds!" and how neat it was to see them running around wild.

I feel very fortunate to live in a place where the wildlife is abundant and they have grown accustomed to me enough to realize they are in no danger. I have been witness to some pretty unusual animal behaviors in the 8 years I have been here, sadly most of them were never recorded by camera lens.

That's cool. We see deer from time to time, but I have never seen a turkey much less a whole bunch of them like this. That's really cool. I could eat for a while off this bunch.
