Description
I began as a poetBorn in the Dylan Thomas Centre
(my Grandfather was the live-in Janitor when it was a school)
I later studied there, when it was a college
My Tutor there, Malcolm Parr, is now part of the Dylan Thomas Maffia on the Swansea Art Scene
He compiled a collection of 'Found Poems'
This is a Found Poem
My old colour negs were commercially processed & they did not print this
But I noticed the neg & kept it
I guess what happened was that the back of the camera was opened whilst the film was still in
this must have been the 2nd neg on the take up spool & the light came in at an angle
A wonderful accident
Of course that all happened about 35 years ago
(Mid 70's: divorced/split in 85: went to her place to collect the negative scanner about 6 weeks ago: wouldn't recognise her now)
Time is kinder to men than women
Life tho is a different matter
I hit the shutter twice
here is the other

I think is a very beautiful piece of work.
It contains all the ghost-feelings of love, warmth, affection... the kind of memory that starts your heart fluttering, but at the same time which is all colors and dust with little concrete substance... just the way it should be.

wow, the picture itself is wonderful, she looks so beautiful and fragile and your thoughts in the description just add so much depth to it... marvellous
