Yeule is a newish artist/musician/streamer who is beginning to get noticed more.

i discovered them myself recently (around a month ago,) and their work has been very healing and transformative for me.

starting out with more of a glitchy electronica w/ ethereal vocals outfit, rather inspired by the lineage of Grimes and other internet focused music of the last ten years, they have recently deviated toward a grunge/alt/shoegazer inspired album, 'softscars,' having spent quality time listening to emo rock like My Chemical Romance, and 90's alt like The Pixies, Sonic Youth ect. the hybrid sound, and inspired lyrics and concepts revolving around self love and acceptance of past wounds and self harm.

i was so blessed as to get to see them play in Boston on their current promo tour for the album, and it was not only one of the best shows i've been to, but a genuinely healing experience for me as an artist. i was reminded of seeing Sonic Youth's first return concert in around '96 at Smith College when i was 15. truly magical.

i have aired 4 of their tracks so far on a "Darkwave" themed radio show on a nonprofit radio station with low wattage. the show is just titled "Darkwave," and aires on Valley Free Radio out of Florence, Massachusetts, USA.

the show aires at 9-11pm EST Thursday Nights, and replays 4-6AM EST on Sundays. it can be listened in at

there's also a 2 week temporary archive. we had been having a technical issue where only the first hour was being backed up, but it should be sorted going forward. i will also be working on converting episodes into YouTube video experiences that can be listened to after the fact.

in regards to this edit's sources, this began as a promo pic from Yeule and team, that a user on the Yeule Discord server (who has gone as Melon and Indy,) added the Book of Ra title screen too. (the user uses the game's character as a pfp.) a little inside meme. Yeule used to stream that game, and there's a channel on the server for it. i saw it, and decided to spoop it up for the Octoberween season.

so yes, original image is credited to Yeule and the photo team (i'll be hunting down the photographer's name and site link.)

the vignette of a screen cap on the top left is from the NES/Famicom game known in the west as "Monster Party," which stood out as one of the most morbid licensed Nintendo game in history (and yet still somehow cute.) it really spooped up out as kids in the 80's lol. the other games didn't have corpses and blood displayed thusly. the pic is from an early part of the game, where you enter a room expecting a tough encounter, and instead find that the mini boss is apologizing for not being up for a fight lol. OG 'net meme culture yo.

also a pixel art sample from Super Mario Bros. (NES edition.) should be obvious where that is. everything else is just me edited it all to hell in GIMP.
