A dedication piece I've been working on for the past few weeks...I wanted to include a lot more in the image than what was done but it would have taken that much longer, plus it would have taken the focus away from what we have here. xDSome of my favorite things Japan has brought to us. Mario (Princess Peach), Metroid (Samus), Final Fantasy (Tifa), MegaMan (Roll) and my favorite car, the Nissan 350z.
No poses were used for reference...I think I'm getting a little better at drawing without any reference. Background sucks ofcourse...that's supposed to be some Cherry Blossom trees, and the 'Rising Sun'. Yeap...should I sell prints of this and donate the proceeds to Japan relief? I'd like to...but don't think my arts good enough yet.
All done using Easy PaintTool SAI.

Hello!
I just wanted to tell you something...
The special Japanese flag you used as the background for this art is the Japanese war flag that Japan used when it dominated other countries.
It basically has the same meaning as the Nazi's swastika flag. Using it can bring actual problems and may offend some people.
I'm not going to ask you to delete/change it, but please keep this information in mind when you're drawing future works about Japan.
