Description
This is screen shot from this youtube videoΒ youtu.be/MVMf9ZRNZRMLearn how to make your own animated anime style end title sequence video with Blender. Spent the weekend making this. Combining 3D & 2D to create an anime styled ending screen video. My childhood favourite robots were Robotech or Macross as it is called in Japan. So I thought of making a simple cartoon ending screen with credits text. It's quite fun. Now you can bring my doodles to life a bit with some animation and camera panning. Makoto Shinkai styled clouds were newly handpainted myself. The clouds were easy and quick to do with Photoshop default chalk & charcoal brushes. Plus a bit of Mateusz Urbanowicz's texture brush to blend a bit. Robot jet Gerwalk mode Valkyrie VF-1 was newly handpainted myself in Photoshop. Finally added the famous Hikaru Ichijyo, the fighter pilot lying on the grass field. Didn't take the easy route of drawing again a standard straight standing figure. In my vision, I imagined him lying on the ground. It gives a bit more character to him for this scene. This scene is Hikaru taking a well deserved break to enjoy the hillside and the cool wind after a long long space war against alien invaders on Earth. Was going to do some 3D made trees that look like 2D anime trees to add. But then I felt maybe that's not necessary to have too many things. Next time. Grass was 3D made. Moving hair was hand drawn frame by frame in Blender Grease Pencil. I just added Blur from the Grease Pencil set of special effects. To make the hair colouring look softer and match with the bloom lighting effect of the other items in the scene. If you have any questions on how to draw, paint and animate this, feel free to ask. Or any questions on art. I will try my best to answer your questions. Full tutorial coming soon. Please stay tuned.
