Description
This is the second part to Power Girl. Updated version of this painting is here. [link] In progress. I spent a lot of time on her suit. The face was easy to get done but the suit was harder as it is supposed to be a white suit. Getting all the shades to blend and work is tough. I try painting with fine brushes and then blending through smudge and the blur tool. I might use the pen tool for angular shade shapes later. It's a mix and match and learning process for me. ^^Related content

The modeling on her torso looks sculptural and chiseled. The bust is pleasingly big, yet realistic (an area often overdone by PG enthusiasts). Nice hips as well. Coming along nicely.
One of the things about Adam Hughes' girl art--much as I like it, and who wouldn't--is his tendency to draw females with broad shoulders and narrow hips. It is a disturbingly masculine design.
Your take, by comparison, retains her womanly curves, which compliment her obviously powerful body.
Also, her face reminds me of Gillian Anderson, from the old "X-Files" show. But Ms. Anderson was never built like this.

Thanks for the critique. When I drew this, I tried to avoid the broad hips + narrow shoulder syndrome. I'll try to work on this piece more today. ^^ Gillian Anderson, really? Gillian was the most gorgeous FBI paranormal investigator.

She was a cool, intellectual doll. What ever happened to her?
It would be worth getting abducted and gang-probed by aliens to get a visit from agent Scully. She'd make it all better.

Sorry, I meant to say broad shoulders + narrow hips syndrome.

Sure you did. Adam Hughes has already gotten to you.
