Description
Taken at an exhibition at the weekend this is Katie Paterson’s commission at Somerset house (Totality: A new commission by the Arts Council), it's a mirror ball comprising images of nearly every solar eclipse that’s been documented by humankind; through drawings and since photography began, including the oldest solar eclipse drawings from hundreds of years ago, and the earliest 19th century photographs, to images from the most technological advanced telescopes now. When you enter the room, you feel like the walls are moving one way, the mirror ball the other, and the lights reflected on the walls and floor are really disorientating, you almost feel like you are floating in the room!

Very interesting history, Tony... I even feel it... and I want to say it's not good feelings...
But, maybe I wrong. everything could be...

This sounds so.awesome! And your photo really captures what you've described as a pretty topsy turvy and fun atmosphere.

Thanks as always, I really did feel like I was floating inside, it's hard to describe the feeling and also to show all the tiny solar eclipse pictures that make up each of the glitter ball's mirrors

yes it was, and it made you feel like you were floating in the room in slow motion
