Reasoning (Old) : Regular Staryu shape overall but covered with the Fluff of Larvesta as well as the horns being Larvestas as well. The jewel was changed to be more fitting of Larvestas eye color.
Reasoning (New) :  It keeps Starmie's general anatomy, covered in the fur of Volcarona. The tips have changed to resemble Volcarona's wings while the gem at the center is the same blue as Volcarona's eyes.
