I really love the expressions on their faces. The playfulness of the dogs really comes through. Do you have dogs of your own, or is all your inspiration from reference pics? Also, I would like to see this piece colored with surreal hues because I feel like that would really distinguish the dogs from one another. The lineart is just as the title indicates, a dog pile, and seeing dogs do this in real life I can see how even within a life photograph it can be hard to tell the limbs of each creature apart. I am really into your claws here. I am personally excited to color/draw claws on reptiles and fantasy creatures, as well as watch tutorials on proper scale and proportion for canines and felines. The one thing I would strongly suggest is to elongate/skew the middle dog's squished eye so that it looks a little bigger in proportion to the face, and yet looks more squished. You have some of the cleanest lineart I've seen here, and I'll definitely seek you out for a commissioned tattoo in the future!

Yo, I'm here from ProjectComment and I wanted to leave some hints on your piece.


Beginning with the lines, they're awesomely sketched. There's nothing to improve on in that part, at least not that I can tell. The dogs themselves look great as well. They're all so stylized and their expressions are drawn amazingly though the teeth of the one in the background are a little weird and the eyes of the one in the middle are a tad out of proportion. If there was one issue I had with this artwork it would be the clutter. It's a tad overbearing and, though some artists want that feel, I believe the way it's executed here isn't well suited because the lack of lighting and shading makes things hard to tell where one thing ends and another begins, since each line could either be from a different dog or certain limbs of one, like the wing. Other than that, this is a good piece with great linework, anatomy, and style. Hope this helps you improve your stuff.

Monk's eyes look odd proportion wise, but other than that this is a pretty cool base.

Your dogs are so cute!! I don't draw canines as often but I love them nonetheless. Beautiful lineart!
