I really like how your characters have appeal. The shading is magnificent, the tones selected work very well together. If the hat were replaced with goggles, I would think she was from a steam punk world from the palette selected and a bit from the outfit. This serves as a reminder of how far I have to climb. At some point I crossed the 'passable' line, but that is not the kind of artist I want to be. I want to be able to render pieces like this, but even with all that I have learned over the last 5 years, I would not come close the way I am now.
If you have time, it would be wonderful to see a breakdown of how you made this piece.

The feel is nice along with the atmosphere.Β It offers a viewer a reason to stop and look and the values work quit well.Β I like the contrast between the character and the background ...they don't compete with each other ...she is the focal point.Β I like this one a lot David.Β Very nice.
