Description Here are some of the unforgettable firearms used in the World War II: Mosin-Nagant carbine, Colt M1911A1, Browning HP (version with non-adjustable sight), Walther P38, Thompson M1A1 and MP40. Note that Schmeisser has actually very limited relativity to MP40, being only the magazine designer, therefore calling this SMG by his name is as incorrect as saying "AK-47". There is even a special place in hell for those who do. That's right, nobody makes it to heaven.

The British used the HP in WWII.

Why not? The M1911, for instance, is still popular nowadays. Likewise, the SAS used the HP since WWII (that includes the Cold War) and the newer variants are used nowadays. Even the P38 found its way by becoming a Beretta 92.

must be , cause that makes no sense other wise. how would a Nazi WWII handgun into a modern-ish Italian/AmericanΒ  handgun!?

M1911. Nuff said. If not "nuff", look up something like SVI Infinity, or, well, SIG-Sauer 1911

By the way, Italy was pretty much on Germany's side in WWII, so it's not a big surprise that they modified the Walther pistol.

Not 60, much less. The current Beretta 92 model has little relation to the P38, while the older models definitely "took inspiration" from it.
