Description
CIMOC was an anthology comic magazine published out of Barcelona Spain by Norma Editorial. It was an amazing magazine that introduced me to Hugo Pratt and Milo Manara as well as the great Luis Royo.I still have the above issue. You can't imagine how proud and happy I felt when Rafa (Martinez the publisher) had MAX CARNAGE on the cover. I know Simon was hugely popular at the time but the magazine had Hugo Pratt, Milo Manara and Frank Miller as well and MAX was the one that made it to the cover... Still get a buzz from that moment. Never want to lose that.
You can find the full cover with no cover dressing and the story that was inside posted in my gallery here;

Enjoy.

Yeah! CIMOC was a great showcase of amazing artists here in Spain; well, artists who had worked in superhero comics were very well known here, but CIMOC gave to us a lot of stuff that deserved to be seen. I supousse CIMOC could be compared whit magazines like Heavy Metal in the US. And this cover is awesome!!! I recommend you another magazine called 1984 (and later Zona 84) which contained a wonderful stuff as well. Even superhero nerds like me need to enjoy all this beautifull art!

Yeah I had a ton of copies of 1984 as well. Spain was a real hot bed of talent and publishing at that time.

The full sized version is in my Max Carnage Gallery folder. Simon was kicking everyone's arse at that time.
