"..Now, get outta here before I let him REALLY have a go at ya!" Copperwell glared at the beaten goblin on the floor, bleeding on his good carpet, just another thing to add to the bill he'll make the con artist pay.

Marax scrambled to his feet, cursing under his breath and holding his side with an arm while using the other to pull himself up, leaning on a chair. He glowered at the cold, blue eyed goblin that bested him, his own blood dripping from the cruel looking steel knuckles. He had thought for sure he could have taken the quiet, younger goblin in a fight, even without his rogue equipment. But he never was any good at up-front fighting, being better at the stealthier, sneakier ways. If only I had me knives..that would show ya.. he thought.
Not wishing to overstay his welcome, lest he get roughed up some more, he quickly limped out of the establishment as best as he could. Grumbling under his pained breath.

"Getting a little soft there, Rusty. He could actually stand."
The bald goblin, Copperwell, walked around his large desk and took a seat in the equally large and luxurious looking chair. Rusty, who had moved to a table on the other side of the room, grabbed a cloth and started wiping the blood from his hands, removing the spiked knuckles as he did so.
When he finished, he moved his hands to sign out what he couldn't speak. You want him to pay you back, yes? He can't do that if he's too broken.

Copperwell shrugged, lighting a cigar and putting his feet up on the desk "Eh.. Guess you right on that." He would much rather have the gold than worry about where to hide a body of a dying scammer.

"Fucking, shit, fuck.. DAMMIT!"

It was a risky move he pulled, but the payoff would have been worth it, unfortunately for him, it had failed. Miserably.
Younger goblins these days were getting even wiser than he was at that age. He scowled and all but kicked in the door to the inn, ignoring the few stares he got and still clutching his side, he limped his way up the stairs to his rented room. Shoving open the door he immediately let slew another string of curses, this time in goblin, orcish and common.
The young human priestess, sitting on his bed didn't look up from a book she was studying and tutted.

"By the light, Marax.. I only got some of that but st- Oh! AGAIN?! I would have thought you learned your lesson the FIRST time!"
She had looked up from her book and was now storming over to where he stood in the doorway, pale coloured cloth robes billowing behind her, her long brown hair tied up in a pony tail swished back from over her shoulder. Marax moved away from the door, closing it behind him and dodging her at the same time.

"What the hell are you doing here? And don't you even start with me!"
He made his way over to the small bathroom, kicking off his shoes and socks as he went. At least he was no longer leaving a trail of blood. He started filling the sink with warm water, thankful that he got a room with goblin plumbing.

The priestess sighed and rubbed her eyes before looking at him, his back turned to her hid most of the damage from her sight. He could feel her amber gaze boring into the back of his skull. "Marax.. if this is going to continue, I'm going to have to tell Dez. You know how she feels about.. the things you do. It could jeopardize what we are together for!"

Still keeping himself turned away from her, he huffed "Not that it's any of your business, I just had an.. altercation. About prices. That's all. Now, are you gonna tell me why you're even here? We're not supposed to meet up till we're out in the field."

Making her way over and into the bathroom, she looked at his bruised and bloodied reflection in the mirror over the basin, with a frown she placed a hand over his shoulder "I'll tell you, if you let me help you... again."
Marax rolled his pinky-red eyes and nodded, not having the energy and being too much in pain to put up much of a front with her in the first place.

A few seconds after, he felt a familiar warm glow spreading through his body, starting from the source of the hand on his shoulder, her other one moving along his collarbone to quicken the healing area. Bruises dissipated, cuts mended seemingly by themselves and he no longer had fractured ribs, any internal bleeding probably stopped too. He sighed and had to bite back a smile. Not being in pain or having scars and bruises was, at least, a benefit with dealing with his new 'friends'.

"There.." the priestess said with a smile "..now clean yourself up. Dez wanted us there earlier than planned. That's what she sent me for. She really doesn't like dealing with you..." She chuckled a little, remembering the tall, muscular, draenei female's face whenever Marax was mentioned. She had scoffed at the idea that she was sent because she was the only one Marax would listen to. If he did, he wouldn't get in trouble like this.
She frowned a bit.

"Hey. You know.. Maybe I could see this person you're dealing with an try smooth things over? I do have some gold saved up from the wares I've been making and selling." She didn't even really need much gold at this point in time, still being a priest in training, she had dorms to stay in and most meals and gear paid for.
Marax paled a little and frowned at her, sharp teeth bared in a scowl.

"NO! These are not some petty human bank loaners I'm dealing with here! I don't need you sticking your little nose into my business and fucking it up!" That was a partial truth, some of it was the fact that he had no idea how someone like Copperwell would treat a mostly helpless, human priest, kidnapping for her skills came to mind. Or he could rough her up, use her to send him a message. Not that he let it known to ANYONE that he cared for others.

"Just..just let me deal with it after our venture, ok? And don't tell Dez OR Raaz. Don't need anymore folk meddling in my affairs, woman!" With that, he slammed the bathroom door and went to work cleaning himself up and putting on his leather armor.

The priestess blinked at the closed door with a frown, she was concerned for her new friend. And a little hurt she still couldn't get him to let her help him, aside from the healing. Though being a holy priest, she was used to the thanklessness of some folk.
She fumbled with her coin pouch, thinking of a ways to go about helping him with his debt without him knowing. Surely a quick trip to this Copperwell person shouldn't be so bad? If it was gold he was only after.

Chewing her bottom lip, she left the inn.
