That is so neat! I'm landlocked so I can't even imagine living in that environment, really. Thank you!

You're welcome! It has its charms, yes... and there are nice spots around the area to live in... I just hope you enjoy snow, because you will be treated to a fair amount of it in the winter... Β Β Β

I'm in the Upper Midwest...so I do know snow...and honestly yes I do enjoy winter. I just don't like the ice
If I were to come back to visit, I'd probably choose a warmer month.Β

Greetings! Never visited that area - only for a brief layover in Minneapolis-St.Paul airport (which doesn't really count as a "visit", in my opinion) ~
I agree completely - I would take snow over ice any day!Β Β Β And yes, I prefer the warmer months myself...

I spent a lot of time walking around Boston and New York City for that matter. Β I would stay at the Marriott in the theater district or the Park plaza andΒ take walks, sometime 2 in the morning, up Tremont or Boyalston street to the common and read some of the epitaphs on the old grave stones there or go sit in the gazebo and write music.

Those sound like some great walks. I don't know all the locations you're referencing exactly, but others I do and definitely remember appreciating during my visit. I actually told one of my professors that I would like to go back to the grave stones and read more of the epitaphs there. Not to be creepy of course, but I just want more understanding of people that have come before me. My grandmother's line can be traced back to the Salem Witch Trials & the Mayflower and such, so Massachusetts (quite literally the whole state) is just a place I would like to go back again to explore for sure.Β

Nothing creepy about reading grave stones; I was an anthropology major and one of the things I found was that in a given new area if you wanted to get a quick history of an area then take a walk through an old grave yard. There is so much information about how the local population live and died engraved on the stones...it was a useful research tool. Β I grew up in a little town 42 miles from Boston and have explored almost all of Mass and New Hampshire of the years before traveling and branching out. Β I have been to Salem many time as well
