This is interesting.
You got a very good shot of something that is very difficult to focus on, must have taken you a long time to get it just right

nice shot of Spanish Moss.
Did you know it is a part of the pineapple family?
In the olden days of the civil war when the surgeons did not have enough thread, they would skin the gray fuzzy sheath off of the moss and use the inner core for sutures.

Well... I can't compare it to the older one - you didn't leave that one up for me to make comparisons - and my old brain is not good enough to remember EXACTLY what I looked at a moment ago - let alone a couple of days ago. *smiles*
What I'm saying is I can't say if I prefer this one or the other one.
Hugs,
Anj

I would have gone down an F-stop on this one, or tried reshooting it because the depth of field is off by a tad. I'm sorry to sound mean about it, but I really dont agree with any of the previous comments. It kinda puts a strain on my eyes to try and focus when it really isn't there. what kinda camera did you use for this. please dont be offended, i'm only providing input which hopefully you'll use for the better.

what do you think now, i sharpened it just a tad, and up the contrast about 5pts, i think it rought out the moss a little bit more but idk....

Its better. And yeah, i kinda figured you might have taken it with a 35mm. I'll give ya props for that alone right there, I just started playing with a Minolta srt-201, and its really hard to get the exposures perfect for me without a digital preview and histograms and all that cool stuff. Very awesome camera, now i just wish i had a dark room haha.

hmm, i do see you point, i used a rebel 2000 35mm camera, i really cant reshoot it because it was taken over a year ago, but thx for the input
