Y'know, she looks too dark to be a Jedi. An Emperor's Hand, maybe? Hair's too short and not-red to be Mara, though.
On second thought, could you do Mara someday? With a character like that and your style...I'd have to see it to believe it!

Wow--this is terrific! I agree with all the previous comments: the angle is awesome, providing a lot of tension and energy; the light is fabulous, especially the lightsaber glow; and the overall execution is superb! I myself can see this as Mara Jade, the Emperor's Hand, dealing with Jabba in some way (perhaps to insinuate herself before Luke Skywalker's arrival...?)--the stance, carriage and general dangerous-ness of this woman says "Mara" to me!

Awesome, great job! Don't get me wrong, classic Star Wars is incredible, but can you imagine how much more awesome it would have been for her and Luke to just go at it in Return of the Jedi. Not kill each other, mind you, just her attempting to kill him and he gets away. Would make for an awesome warm up fight to the whole Death Star showdown. Mara x Luke forever!

This is a great piece. And I'm assuming it's Mara Jade taking with Jabba the Hutt, though I don't know what about.

I just realized something. This might not be Jaba that Mara's speaking with. This may be another Hutt who she's talking to after she switched sides and joined the New Republic. I also believe this scene might be from the "Mysteries of the Sith" videogame, where Mara has to steal something for this particular Hutt to persuade him to join the New Republic as an ally.

I love the angle you chose - it's so refreshing to see a piece with an unusual perspective (something my gallery lacks, I'm afraid). Also the details are great, and the ambient light from the lightsabers looks amazing, makes the whole image pop. A lovely work!

Awesome angle & painting. Is this Mara? I can't see who else it would be in the classic era. (Despite an abject hatred of Mara, I like the look of her, especially her outfit with the gloves.)
