Description

One of the biggest new ideas I had about act three is the event that finally causes Clair to break down. I've got another pic more about that coming up, but the short version is Clair has a near-death experience that leads to her going missing from the group for like two weeks. Of course, we know that Clair survives but the rest of the crew doesn't know that and when they can't find her it seems like she's probably dead.

Gabriel is in hysterics, not only because Clair is gone, but because the situation is so reminiscent of Amber's disappearance at the end of act one. Logan and Devin really step in to support Gabriel and make sure he knows that even if Clair is dead, he's not alone and they care about him. At one point, the three of them end up embarking on a rescue mission in really treacherous conditions, even though Lorraine and Sierra tell them it's not safe and they should wait. At one point, Logan ends up getting injured pretty badly but Devin manages to heal him. They end up being the first people who Clair reunites with after her ordeal, much to Gabriel's relief.

Once things start to settle down, Gabriel thanks Logan and Devin for being there for him and helping him find Clair. Before this point, he was still pretty hostile towards Logan, but he ends up giving Logan a hug too (Logan was the mastermind behind the rescue mission and also was the one to get hurt). Devin loves both Gabriel and Logan so it makes him really happy to see them finally on the same page.
